Manuka Health Manuka Honey MGO950+ is a super high-quality premium Manuka Honey. It has an MGO strength of MGO950+ which means that it contains at least 950mg of natural methylglyoxal per kg of honey. Manuka honey is unique to New Zealand and has been shown to possess antibacterial activity credited to the active compound methylglyoxal which forms naturally in the nectar of the manuka plant.

Unique MGO™ Manuka Honey is collected from a New Zealand plant called Leptospermum scoparium. For quite some time the unique manuka honey activity was known and measured by a general measurement of its biological effect.
What was causing the beneficial activity remained unknown for almost 15 years until a research group led by Professor Thomas Henle, University of Dresden (Germany) discovered what makes MGO™ Manuka Honey so special.
MGO™ Manuka honey has a significant Dietary Methylglyoxal content ranging from 20mg/kg to over 800mg/kg. In contrast, all other kinds of honey tested worldwide have ranged from 1 to 10 mg/kg.
Manuka Health honey is unpasteurised and classified as raw.

Pure New Zealand monofloral MGO 950+ Manuka Honey
This MGO 950+ Manuka Honey is certified to contain at least 950mg/kg of dietary methylglyoxal.
Recommended Dose:
Take 1 teaspoon (5g) 30 minutes before a meal, 3 times daily. Intake can be increased if necessary.
Caution: Not suitable for infants under 12 months of age.
