Jarrow Formulas PQQ contains 10mg Pyrroloquinoline Quinone per capsule to support heart, brain and mitochondrial health.
Pyrroloquinoline quinone is an enzyme cofactor that is naturally present in kiwifruit, papaya, parsley, and other foods, as well as breastmilk and soil.
It behaves similar to an antioxidant but is able to continually cycle from reduced to oxidised and back again. This makes it extremely powerful as an antioxidant.
PQQ is thought to protect proteins and help to support the production of new mitochondria (powerhouses) in the cells.
