Description

Lactoferrin is a key glycoprotein present in tears, breastmilk and other body fluids. It has a strong ability to bind iron, 300 times more than transferrin (our iron transport protein) that supports growth of good bacteria.

Also, when lactoferrin is digested by pepsin in the stomach, lactoferricin B is released. Lactoferricin B is an important immune supporting peptide.
