Description

Astaxanthin belongs to carotenoid family of pigments which are found primarily in plants and algae. Carotenoids like astaxanthin are fat soluble and cannot be made by the human body so must be obtained through the diet.

The astaxanthin in these Deva products is naturally produced from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. This algae is grown in clean water in a controlled environment in the US and Europe. The astaxanthin antioxidant is carefully extracted at low temperatures without using any harsh chemicals or solvents.

Many scientific studies have been completed on this amazing antioxidant and have shown various health benefits. Astaxanthin has also been shown to be able to cross the barriers into the brain and retina of the eyes.

Directions
Adults:

I have found Astaxanthin 4mg to be an excellent Anti-Oxidant. I feel a lot healthier and have more energy since taking this product. I have tried a lot of other anti-oxdants but can highly recommend Astaxanthin to any one who wants to be free of free radicals. Thank you, Susan.

Excellent
Can't really fault these - natural source (unlike some) of astaxanthin and not with fish oil carrier. If you want a vegan or vegetarian source of astaxanthin, this is the one!

great results with eye health!
I used astaxanthin to improve eye health. Started a few months ago, taking 8mgs per day, in preparation for left eye cataract surgery. The surgery went well [15 days ago] and they said my eye was in very good condition. My overall health has greatly improved and I have recommended it to friends with eye health issues.

Regular Astaxanthin makes me ill - most likely because it is extracted from seafood (which I am allergic to)

Deva Astaxanthin - 4 mg 30 caps just makes me feel good - a great product at a great price. Because its made from algae, cutting out the middle man (fish) means I get all the benefits without the side effects

Excelant product
I have been using Astaxanthin-4 mg capsules over 1 year. Since I had Cancer I started to use the product to help my body deal with oxidation. I will continium to use it in combination with Deva Liver Support that my liver has lea stress from toxins.
