Brussel Sprout Stirfry

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 - 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 10 brussel sprouts, chopped in half and then diced thinly
  • Combination of your choice of the following veges: carrots (thinly sliced), red pepper (thinly sliced), cauliflower
  • Olive oil or coconut oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A dash of tamari to taste
  • Chilli flakes to taste


Method:


An easy and tasty way to enjoy good old brussel sprouts as an alternative to cabbage in a stir-fry.
  1. Dice or chop all your veggies in preparation.
  2. Sautee onion and garlic in a good splash of olive oil until clear.
  3. Add all veggies and stir-fry.
  4. Add more olive oil or coconut oil to your preference.
  5. Cook for 5-10 minutes until brussel sprouts are slightly wilted.
  6. Add a dash of tamari, salt and pepper and chilli flakes, stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve with your choice of protein - e.g. a good beef steak or salmon steak makes for a nice combo.
